Tyler Watts has been playing guitar since he was in Middle School, and has been teaching professionally since he was a Junior in High School.  Tyler has studied guitar under Kenny Frazier, a legendary country swing player, and Pat McKee, an accomplished jazz guitarist.  Tyler is currently pursuing a B.A. in Psychology with honors and a minor in Religious Studies.

Tyler is a natural born teacher, who loves teaching all styles.  He works to adapt his curriculum to each student’s needs and interests, and strives to make sure that each student becomes an independent and creative musician.  Tyler emphasizes both a disciplined approach to music theory and technique, while also fostering the development of the student’s own taste in music and style.  Tyler has experience teaching all ages and experience levels, but especially loves teaching young beginners.

When not teaching or attending school, Tyler also enjoys developing his own music, as he has written and performed in bands and ensembles in the Central Texas area.
