Jessica Warner began her study of music with piano lessons at the age of 5 in South Bend , Indiana . She eventually began oboe lessons, which led to her solo debut at age 17 with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra.

Ms. Warner holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan where she studied with Dr. Nancy Ambrose-King.  During her years in Michigan , she held a position as principal oboist of the Pontiac Symphony for 5 years and maintained a studio of oboe students. Ms. Warner has also played English Horn and oboe with many other symphonies in the Midwest including the South Bend Symphony, Marion Symphony, Plymouth Symphony and the Dearborn Symphony. In 2005 she was associate principal oboist of the Auckland Philharmonia, in Auckland , New Zealand . In the summer of 2006 Ms. Warner joined the faculty of the New York Summer Music Festival in Oneonta , New York .

She currently lives in Austin , Texas , where she is in high demand as a teacher and performer.

As a theory instructor, Jessica looks to make learning fun, while still teaching the fundamentals of music. She believes that with this knowledge, playing music will be easier and much more enjoyable. As a symphonic musician she also likes to incorporate the orchestra and its instruments into her teaching.
