Jessica Embach received her Masters of Music in Music and Human Learning at the University of Texas, and her Bachelors of Arts in Music and Russian at the University of Iowa. Her major teachers include John Largess, Christine Rutledge, Elizabeth Oakes, and Stephanie Preucil. Jessica is a registered teacher of violin and viola with the Suzuki Association of Americas. Currently, she is the Outreach Coordinator for The University of Texas String Project, and director of the Ambleside School Strings Program. Aside from teaching, Jessica is an active performer in the Austin area. She has played with the Austin Pops, Austin Lyric Opera, concert series Viola By Choice, and newly formed Round Rock Symphony. As a chamber musician she has performed in both Europe and America and is currently the violist of the Ada Quartet.

Jessica enjoys working with children (and their families!) of all ages. She firmly believes that everyone is capable of learning to play music and that music education should be available to every child. Jessica continues her own education by attending Suzuki Institutes in the summer and the American String Teacher’s Association annual conference as well as the Texas Music Educators Association annual conference.
