Artina Hunter
Artina Hunter graduated Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Music in Piano performance with Dr. Carol Leone. She has
participated in numerous festivals and masterclasses including: Aspen Music Festival, Cliburn Piano Institute, Las Vegas Music Festival, and the Prague International Keyboard Masterclass series. Ms. Hunter has performed in many chamber and solo recital series including: SALON, World Piano Pedagogy Conference Las Vegas, and at the Meyerson Horchow recital hall. She has won numerous prizes in national competitions. She graduated with her masters degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music where she studied with Kathryn Brown and was awarded the Lecture Recital Club Scholarship. She has served on the keyboard faculty at Baldwin Wallace College and is currently on the keyboard faculty at the University of the Incarnate Word. She is now working on her Doctorate degree at the University of Texas at Austin with Anton Nel.
Artina hails from Dallas, TX and has taught children and adults for over ten years. Her goal is to give students the tools to enjoy music their entire lives whether it is an avocation or vocation. After living in Cleveland several years, she now enjoys soaking in the Austin weather, exercising, shopping and spending time with family and friends.
